About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated, specialist therapy team.

Band 6 therapists will be expected to work with greater autonomy, applying established clinical reasoning skills while continuing to develop specialist knowledge and professional judgement within commissioned services.

You will support children and young people aged 5–16 — delivering high-quality assessment and intervention in areas such as sensory processing, emotional regulation, hand skills, motor development, and functional independence.

While all post holders are supported by senior therapists, Band 6 clinicians will be expected to take a more active role in clinical decision-making and team contribution.

If you have an interest in sensory integration, assistive technology, or functional skills development, we would particularly welcome your application. Experience in schools or multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable, but not essential — the right attitude and willingness to develop matter most.

About You

You could be working at Band 5 level for a number of years or you could be a a Band 6 and are interested in developing your paediatric Occupational Therapy practice within specialist school settings.

At Band 6 level, you will be confident in managing your own workload and contributing proactively to team discussions.
