Achiever Tutoring: Supporting Local Students on Their Path to Grammar School.
- Part-time
- Flexible hours
- Ideal for university students, graduates & anyone passionate about education.
Achiever Tutoring is expanding! We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable tutors to join our growing team in the Deal and Dover area as we increase our in-person 11+ sessions, mock exams, and summer courses.
Our 11+ programme is where Achiever first began, and returning to our roots in Deal and Dover is an exciting milestone. With more families seeking help for the Dover Grammar Tests and 11+ Kent Tests, now is the perfect time to join us and support local children on their journey to grammar school.
Looking for a flexible, well-paid job that fits around uni or other commitments?
Fancy earning money without pulling pints, stacking shelves, or working late nights? Want a role that’s rewarding, flexible, and actually uses your brain?
Tutoring with Achiever Tutoring could be the perfect fit.
At Achiever Tutoring, we believe in young people tutoring young people. We get how important it is to have a job that works around your lectures, deadlines, and (let’s be honest) your social life. That’s why we’re all about flexibility, fair pay, and creating a team of talented tutors who genuinely love what they do.
Whether you’re a uni student, a teaching assistant, or simply someone who loves helping young people succeed, you’ll be welcomed into a team that values what you bring.
About the Role
You’ll be delivering engaging, structured sessions to Year 4 and Year 5 pupils preparing for the 11+ and Dover Tests. Using Achiever’s curriculum, resources, and mock exam programme, you’ll help children build confidence, master exam skills, and reach their potential.
Sessions run after school and on weekends, making this an ideal role to fit around studies or other work, with extra flexibility during the summer holidays.
You’ll:
- Teach 1:1 sessions focusing on 11+ Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths, English, and exam strategies.
- Support students preparing for the Kent 11+ and Dover Tests.
- Use Achiever’s proven resources, lesson plans, and activity bank.
- Provide friendly, reassuring feedback to families.
- Inspire students to enjoy learning and feel confident going into their tests.
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need teaching experience. We provide full training and ongoing support. We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Are confident teaching KS2 Maths and English.
- Have strong communication skills and a warm, supportive approach.
- Are reliable, organised, and enthusiastic about helping children succeed.
- Can commit to in-person sessions in Deal, Walmer, Dover, Whitfield, or surrounding areas.
- Have experience with 11+ (not essential, but a bonus!).
Why Join Achiever?
- Competitive pay with opportunities to take on more sessions.
- Flexible schedule that fits around uni lectures, deadlines, or other work.
- A growing team; Achiever is expanding quickly, with opportunities to progress.
- Full training and ongoing support from experienced tutors and senior leadership team.
- A genuinely rewarding role where you make a meaningful difference.
How to Apply
Just email your CV to [email protected] and tell us you’re applying for the Deal/Dover 11+ Tutor role. Let us know your availability and any relevant experience.
If you’re shortlisted, we will invite you for a relaxed chat with two senior team members, plus a short 3-minute tutoring demonstration so you can show us your tutoring style.
This is more than just a job. It’s a chance to earn money while gaining experience, and supporting local children at a crucial stage of their learning.
