This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring practitioner to join our team as a full or part time Room Lead in our 2-3-year-old room.

To be considered for this position, you must have a full and relevant level 3 qualification in Early Years, and a minimum of 3 years recent experience (excluding student placement) of working in a nursery.
The role:
As a room leader you will:
- take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a room of up to 9 children, aged 2 to 3 years.
- lead and support your room assistant, acting as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity and high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and cchildren's well-being are mainatined at all times.
- build strong relationships with families, colleagues and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children.
- be expected to take on key person responsibilities and you will be given time away from the room and children, within your normal working hours for planning and to complete children's records.
- work closely with the management team to maintain and continuously improve the quality of our provision.
Hours:
- 8.00am to 5.00pm with one 5.30pm finish each week.
- Part-time - minimum two days (one of which must be a Monday)
- Full-time - up to five days (maximum 43.5 hours per week)Our nursery is open Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.30pm and is closed on all Bank Holidays, one week at the end of August and one week over the Christmas to New Year period.

Appointment to the position is subject to an enhanced DBS check, the receipt of two suitable references and a six-month probationary period. The candidate will not be required to pay for the DBS check. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitate of Offenders Act 1974 responsibilities
Pay: £13.90 per hour
