Windyhall Care Home is a luxurious Victorian residence located in the heart of Ayr, offering elegant surroundings and a warm, homely atmosphere. We provide care and accommodation for up to 29 residents, with a strong focus on comfort, dignity, and personalised support. Kitchen Assistant

£12.71 per hour
Contracted to 16 hours per week
Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.

What We Are Looking For

A positive and reliable approach
Good organisation and attention to detail
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential
