Full job description

Tannlin are offering an opportunity to join a family friendly, independent international engineering company in Monkton as part of the administration team. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Purchasing

Manage internal purchase orders, including seeking approvals from department managers.
Send orders to suppliers and process incoming deliveries promptly and efficiently.

Systems Stock Coordination

Order and coordinate stock for systems building in consultation with the Systems Coordinator.

Service Support

Prepare service schedules and issue service contracts.
Review service accounts and maintain service parts stock.

Accounts Support

Support the accounts team in the processing of customer and supplier invoices

Shipping Customer Orders

Coordinate and process customer order shipments accurately and on time.
Ensure proper documentation, and compliance with shipping requirements.
Liaise with couriers and logistics providers to track and resolve delivery issues.

Leasehold Management

Review annual leasehold costs and recommend improvements.
Appoint and manage contractors to ensure safe and comfortable facilities.

Health & Safety

Maintain Health & Safety records and coordinate company-wide improvements.
Work with HR to organize H&S staff training and compliance activities.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with ERP systems and Sage accounting software is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided if required.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise workload
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience in purchasing and supplier management.
Background in manufacturing or SME environment.
Experience managing sustainability or Net Zero projects.
Familiarity with contractor management and service agreements.
