We are seeking an exceptional Studio Manager / Design Project Manager to play a pivotal role within a high-end interior design practice based in Chelford, Cheshire. This is a hybrid position that combines creative project oversight with studio leadership, ensuring the seamless delivery of beautifully executed, highly detailed interiors from concept through to completion.
This role sits at the heart of the studio, acting as the key link between the design team, clients, contractors, consultants, and suppliers. You will be responsible for driving projects forward, protecting design intent, and ensuring operational excellence across the studio.

Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Delivery
- Manage multiple high-end interior projects from design development through to completion
- Coordinate all project information between designers, architects, contractors, and suppliers
- Track progress on-site and ensure alignment with design intent
Design Support & Technical Delivery
- Interpret drawings, FF&E schedules, and technical documentation
- Assist in developing detailed design packages suitable for construction
- Ensure specifications, finishes, and detailing are accurately communicated and executed
- Flag design or site issues early and propose practical solutions
- Undertake detailed site surveys and check measurements to ensure accuracy prior to manufacture and installation of bespoke joinery
- Produce / co-ordinate listings for bespoke furniture, cabinetry, and fitted joinery items
Client Liaison
- Act as a key point of contact for clients during delivery stages
- Provide regular updates on progress, timelines, and decisions required
- Manage expectations with clarity, confidence, and professionalism
Site & Contractor Management
- Attend site meetings and coordinate contractor activity
- Ensure quality control aligns with studio standards
- Resolve on-site issues efficiently, protecting design intent at all times
Procurement & FF&E
- Support procurement schedules and ordering processes
- Track lead times, deliveries, and installation programmes
- Liaise with suppliers and artisans to ensure accuracy and quality
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 6-7 years’ on-site experience in design or project management roles
- Strong understanding of bespoke residential or hospitality fit-out projects
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously
- Knowledge of FF&E procurement and installation processes
- Knowledge of bespoke joinery
