As we grow, we’re introducing a brand-new Marketing & Content Specialist role of a senior level — focusing on content creation, campaign delivery, catalogue support, and digital storytelling to promote auctions, consignments, and brand visibility.
Overview
As our Marketing & Content Specialist, you’ll be the driving force behind our marketing strategy. This is a blank canvas role where you’ll have the freedom to implement bold ideas, experiment with innovative campaigns, and position our brand as the go-to destination for serious sellers and smart buyers. You will increase buyer engagement, consignor confidence, and overall hammer prices through high impact marketing and professional content creation for plant, machinery, agricultural equipment, and industrial assets. Your work will span multiple industries and reach audiences regionally, nationally, and internationally, giving you the chance to make a global impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute a marketing strategy that speaks to our core audience of serious sellers and smart buyers.
- Lead digital campaigns across social media, email, and paid channels to boost brand visibility and auction participation.
- Content creation that highlights the value of our platform and builds trust with high-intent users – from short ‑form videos and high‑quality on‑site photography, to engaging written content.
- Design visually appealing graphics and multimedia content using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite tools or similar.
- Work closely with third-party suppliers and agencies to deliver high-quality marketing initiatives.
- Analyse performance data to optimise campaigns and maximise ROI.
- Manage budgets and report on results with a focus on measurable impact.
- Collaborate with internal teams
- Support lead‑generation activities through SEO, PPC, events, and data‑driven marketing approaches.
- Manage brand consistency across all marketing materials and customer touchpoints.
Technical Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in marketing, minimum 3 years; ideally from a digital agency or through hands‑on marketing of plant and industrial machinery, construction equipment, or commercial assets within auction, dealership, trade‑sales, or e‑commerce environments.
- Skilled in design and content creation using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), or equivalent alternatives.
- Ability to produce and edit short‑form video content using editing tools including Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar platforms.
- Competent in photography, including camera operation and photo‑editing tools.
- Experience with website management via WordPress or similar CMS platforms, along with basic HTML/CSS and SEO fundamentals.
- Proficient with email marketing and automation tools such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, or equivalent systems.
- Experienced in managing social media channels across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, including scheduling tools like Hootsuite or Buffer.
- Strong ability to interpret performance data using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and social media insights.
- Experience with digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads) is beneficial.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Data‑driven mindset with the ability to analyse insights and optimise campaigns effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Relevant marketing qualifications (CIM, Digital Marketing Institute, or similar) are desirable
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
