Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop barista skills within a vibrant and supportive team.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly service
Handle cash register operations and process payments correctly
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Assist in food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling snacks or light meals
Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during peak hours
Uphold high standards of hygiene and food safety protocols at all times

Experience

Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer service role involving food and beverage preparation is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
