Due to continued growth, we are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Sales Support & Operations Coordinator to join our team on a part time basis. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines sales support, customer service, business development and operational administration, helping to drive growth across multiple areas of the business.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying new opportunities, speaking with customers and supporting a fast-paced, growing business.
The Role
Working closely with the General Manager and Head of Sales, you will play an important role in supporting sales growth, customer engagement and day-to-day business operations.
You will help identify and develop new business opportunities, maintain strong relationships with existing customers and support the smooth running of our sales and customer service functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting ongoing sales growth through lead generation and prospecting activity
- Researching and identifying new business opportunities across wholesale, hospitality, corporate catering, education and retail sectors
- Conducting outbound calls and follow-up conversations with prospective customers
- Building and maintaining prospect pipelines and customer databases
- Arranging customer meetings, tastings, product sampling and promotional activities
- Following up quotations, proposals and customer enquiries
- Supporting relationship management with existing customers through regular communication
- Managing inbound customer enquiries by phone and email
- Assisting customers with product, pricing, ordering and availability enquiries
- Supporting customer onboarding and account administration
- Maintaining accurate customer, product and pricing information
- Assisting with CRM, ordering systems and sales administration
- Supporting events, markets, corporate pop-ups and promotional activities
- Assisting with LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns and local business networking initiatives
- Helping identify opportunities for partnerships, collaborations and community engagement
- Supporting wider operational and administrative activities as required
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Comfortable making outbound sales and prospecting calls
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Positive, proactive and commercially minded approach
- Strong IT skills, including email, spreadsheets and business systems
Desirable
- Previous experience in sales support, business development, customer service or account management
- Experience within hospitality, catering, food production, retail or wholesale environments
- Experience using CRM systems
- Experience supporting marketing, networking or promotional activities
- Understanding of customer relationship management and sales processes
Working Hours
This is a part-time position, with flexibility available for the right candidate.
Working hours and days can be discussed during the recruitment process; however, some flexibility may be required to support business needs, events and customer activities.
Occasional travel to other company locations and customer sites may be required.
