Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and diligent Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This paid position offers hands-on experience in plumbing systems, providing a solid foundation for a future career in the trade. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced plumbers, gaining practical skills and knowledge essential for professional growth within the industry.

Duties

Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
Use hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fixtures
Learn to operate welding equipment for specialised pipework tasks
Support with the assembly of plumbing components and systems
Conduct basic measurements and calculations using mathematical skills to ensure accurate fitting and installation
Assist with carpentry tasks related to plumbing projects where necessary
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all tasks

Requirements

Basic knowledge of plumbing principles and mechanical systems is preferred but not essential; willingness to learn is crucial
Experience with welding, hand tools, power tools, carpentry, or assembly is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
Good understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations
Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties is desirable but not mandatory at entry level
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to undertake training in plumbing techniques and safety procedures
