Full job description

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment and takes pride in preparing fresh ingredients and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Working Pattern:

4 weekdays and alternate weekends
No evening work
No split shifts

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare fresh vegetables, salads, and other basic food items.
Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients ready for service.
Assist the kitchen team with general food preparation.
Ensure all ingredients are stored safely and correctly.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised kitchen at all times.
Wash kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and cleaning procedures.
Support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team as required.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Reliable, hardworking, and well organised.
A genuine interest in food preparation and maintaining high hygiene standards.
Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety is an advantage.
