Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fryer to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and culinary excellence, with a strong focus on frying techniques and food safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality meals to our customers. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking fried dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all food safety protocols are adhered to.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods in accordance with recipes and quality standards
Operate deep fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure all food is prepared in line with health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness of the frying station and surrounding areas throughout the shift
Assist with meal preparation as required, supporting the wider kitchen team
Monitor food quality during cooking processes to ensure consistency and presentation standards are met
Follow portion control guidelines and manage stock levels of ingredients used in frying operations
Adhere to all food safety procedures, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of food items

Experience

Proven experience as a fryer or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, particularly frying methods
Familiarity with kitchen safety protocols and food hygiene standards
Previous experience in a fast-paced setting is highly desirable
Experience with meal preparation, serving, and general kitchen operations is advantageous
