About the Role
Bhuku Ltd is seeking a Bank Peer Mentoring Tutor to provide planned and emergency cover for our Peer Mentoring programme at HMP Holme House.
Working alongside our main tutor, you will deliver accredited peer mentoring training, support learners in one-to-one and small group settings, and help prisoners develop the confidence and skills to become effective peer mentors.
Cover may be required for annual leave, sickness, training and additional learner demand.
There will be an opportunity for further cover tutor positions across our company, for those who are interested.
Essential
GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent)
Experience teaching or mentoring adults
Excellent communication skills
Able to pass HMPPS security vetting
Desirable
Prison education experience
Mentoring qualification
Functional Skills or literacy teaching experience
Knowledge of safeguarding and neurodiversity
Pay: £15.50 per hour
