Ground worker – Tree Surgery / De veg operative
Base location: Bishop Auckland, Co durham

Auckland tree services Ltd is one of the north easts leading tree surgery & vegetation management companies. We now operate 5+ full-time tree teams inc utilities,highways & much more. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for reliable and hardworking groundworkers to join our expanding team.
The Role
This is a physical, outdoor role working alongside our tree surgeons on jobs across the north east and yorkshire. You’ll be part of the ground crew, ensuring jobs run smoothly and sites are left safe and tidy.
The role may include night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Assist climbers with ground support
Dragging and processing branches
Feeding woodchippers
General site clearance and tidying
Using basic tools such as saws and hedge trimmers (if experienced)
Carry out safe, efficient work in all weather conditions
Maintain site safety and professionalism at all times
Carry out de veg works for highways
Requirements
Able to reliably start work at our Bishop auckland yard
The right to work in the UK
Full clean UK driving licence (preferred)
Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one)
PPE preferred (but not essential)
NPTC Chainsaw, Woodchipper,Strimmer
First Aid (+F), Aerial Rescue
Previous experience in tree work, landscaping or grounds maintenance (preferred but not essential)
