About Us
Belmont Legal is a growing law firm specialising in personal injury litigation. We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Law Graduate to begin their legal career with us.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate seeking practical, hands-on experience across a busy legal practice. The successful candidate will work closely with solicitors and fee earners, gaining exposure to all stages of a personal injury claim, from initial instruction through to settlement and litigation.
The role offers genuine opportunities for progression and development within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the management of personal injury claims from inception to conclusion
- Supporting fee earners with case progression, investigations and client communication
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence and court forms
- Undertaking legal research and preparing case summaries where required
- Reviewing and organising medical records, evidence and disclosure documentation
- Liaising with clients, insurers, medical agencies, experts and third parties
- Assisting with new client enquiries and the onboarding of new claims
- Supporting pre-litigation and litigated matters as required
- Maintaining accurate records and updating the firm's case management systems
- Assisting with court deadlines, limitation dates and general file administration
- Attending meetings and training sessions to further legal knowledge and professional development
Requirements
- Law degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Professional and confident manner when dealing with clients and third parties
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine interest in pursuing a long-term career in law
Desirable
- Previous legal work experience, whether paid or voluntary
- Experience within a legal, customer service or office-based environment
- Knowledge of personal injury claims and the civil litigation process
