Bank Support Worker (Recovery)

Linwood House, Barnsley
£12.71 per hour

About the Role

As a Bank Support Worker at Linwood House, you'll provide vital care and assistance to our clients and working as part of a dedicated team, you'll help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment that fosters recovery.

Key Responsibilities

Provide practical and emotional support to clients, guiding them towards an abstinent lifestyle.
Assist therapists in risk management planning and reviews.
Ensure clients follow programme guidelines and support investigations into any breaches, including substance testing.
Complete client intakes, assessments, and discharges efficiently.
Maintain accurate records and update client databases.
Coordinate transfers and referrals between agencies and support services.
Assist clients with medication reminders and conduct audits.
Help individuals develop recovery plans tailored to their needs.
Support clients with external appointments, providing transport assistance where necessary.
Assist with life skills development, including housing, benefits, and daily living support.

What We're Looking For

Desirable skills & experience:

NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Clear verbal and written communication at all levels.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Excellent listening skills with an empathetic approach.
Strong negotiation and boundary-setting abilities.
A calm, non-judgmental attitude, even under pressure.
Good customer service skills.
