Office Administration Apprentice

About Us:

We are a long-established, family-run business based in Barnsley, specialising in self-storage and commercial property across Yorkshire.

We are looking for a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Office Administration Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in a professional office environment while gaining valuable hands-on experience and a recognised qualification.

Full training will be provided, so we're looking for the right attitude and willingness to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Answering telephone calls and assisting customers with enquiries
Supporting with emails and basic office communication
Learning how to manage customer bookings and records
Learning our internal systems and business processes.
Assisting with general administration tasks
Ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and on time.
Supporting the team with day-to-day office duties

Full training will be provided, including systems and software.

What we’re looking for:

Reliable, dependable and punctual
Good communication skills (both spoken and written)
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Comfortable using computers and emails
Confident speaking to customers with a polite telephone manner
Able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
Able to follow processes and instructions accurately
Someone who takes ownership of their work and sees tasks through to completion

Desirable (but not essential):

GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
Experience using Microsoft Office / Outlook.
Previous customer service or office experience

Full training will be provided.

Salary:

Hourly Rate from £8.00 p/hr could be increased depending on experience and skills.

Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Friday: 9:00am - 4:00pm
