The Role: Complex Care Support Worker

Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour, increasing to £14.50 per hour once competent

Location: Barnsley, S70

Shift Pattern: Term time hours - Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:00pm. None term time – Hours Reduce

Please note, we provide 24 hour around the clock care so they will mainly include 12 hour shifts and will include days, waking nights and alternative weekends.

Contract Type: Permanent. We offer the below contracts:

Full time 41.5 hours per week Term Time

Hours reduce during None Term Time

DBS: An up-to-date DBS check is required (we can apply on your behalf if you don’t already have one).

Driver with access to a vehicle: Preferred.

Right to Work: The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

It's important to note that we recruit with a person-centred approach, meaning successful candidates will primarily work on one of our packages based in a single location. However, there is also the potential to work across various packages within the area.

· Providing compassionate care to a smiley young boy with PKS, a rare genetic condition.

· Supporting with tracheostomy care, suctioning, moving and handling, and communication.

· Due to his complexities, we need someone who is on their toes and who is alert at all times.

· Supporting a person who is nonverbal, problems with hearing and eyesight so eye to detail and Makaton is desirable.

Training:
