Sheldon Precision Engineering are a successful sub-contract precision turned parts company, established in 2014. We service a variety of Industries and have built a reputation on quality and reliability.
We predominantly manufacture medium too large production runs of CNC Turned Parts to companies throughout the UK.
We are looking for an experienced CNC machine operator to work on Citizen sliding head and Miyano fixed head lathes. Experience of these machines is not essential as training can be given to the right candidate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating CNC turning machines in a precision engineering company.
We are looking for someone with an eye for detail whom works in a methodical organised approach.
The responsibilities of the role include the following but are not exhaustive.
- Changing carbide inserts when required
- Making tool offsets when required
- Full roaming inspection of components coming off the machines.
- Keeping section tidy
- Handling raw materials and swarf
- Topping up oils when necessary.
Hours of work options:-
Monday-Thursday 0700-1600
Friday 0800-1200
