Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, support kitchen operations, and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Support senior chefs in food production, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Contribute to the efficient running of the kitchen during service periods
Support with inventory management and stock rotation to minimise waste
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen environments
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience supervising or managing teams is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Knowledge of restaurant or hospitality operations, including serving procedures, is desirable
Passion for culinary arts with a keen interest in developing professional skills within a fast-paced setting
