Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tiler to join our construction team in the North Devon area. Wages can be discussed depending on experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tiling installation, with a keen eye for detail and precision. This role involves working on various residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The successful applicant will have a solid understanding of construction processes and be proficient with a range of hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying suitable primers or adhesives
- Measure and mark out tiling layouts
- Cut tiles accurately using hand tools, power tools, or specialised equipment
- Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces, ensuring proper alignment and adhesion
- Grout and seal tiled surfaces to achieve a durable finish
- Follow technical drawings, schematics, and instructions to meet project requirements
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist in the mixing of adhesives or mortar as required for different tiling applications
Requirements
- Proven experience in tiling within construction or renovation projects
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, cutters, and levels
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, saws, and tile cutters
- Can work independently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in finishing work
- Experience working with various materials such as ceramic, porcelain, stone, or mosaic tiles is preferred
- You must have your own vehicle and tools
Pay: £160.00 per day
