Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Lettings Negotiator to join our expanding team in Barnstaple. This role is ideally suited to a driven individual who enjoys the challenge of negotiation and takes pride in delivering a high level of service, as reflected in our strong Google reviews and client feedback.
Working as part of an established and supportive team, the successful candidate will play a key role in agreeing and progressing transactions, maintaining the high standards for which we are known.
The candidate is likely to have estate agency experience, be well organised with the ability to cope under pressure and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are pre-requisites as is the ability to build and maintain trust with clients.
The Role:
- Proactively registering applicants and matching them to available properties
- Undertaking viewings, inspections, inventory preparation and building rapport with prospective Landlords and renters alike
- Negotiating between Landlords, Contractors and Renters to achieve the best outcome
- Progressing agreed lets and keeping all parties well informed
- Assisting with property marketing and presentation
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the office and system
The Ideal Candidate:
- A confident and capable negotiator with a personable manner, and proficient at problem solving under pressure
- Motivated, target-driven and keen to succeed
- Well organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to provide a high standard of client care in keeping with our reputation
- Previous experience in the Lettings Industry preferred but not essential
- Ideally good local knowledge of North Devon and the surrounding area
- Full UK clean driving licence
