Full job description

The Opportunity

Marvel Heating & Renewable Energy is looking for an ambitious and commercially focused Sales Director to lead our sales function and help drive the next stage of our growth. This is a senior leadership role for someone who can build high-performing teams, improve conversion, strengthen customer experience and deliver sustainable revenue growth.

We install heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage and renewable heating solutions for customers across the UK. The successful candidate will work closely with the company directors and wider leadership team, with genuine influence over strategy, people and performance.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead, motivate and develop the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed agreed targets.

· Create and deliver a clear sales strategy aligned with the company’s growth plans.

· Own sales performance, forecasting, conversion rates, pipeline management and departmental KPIs.

· Recruit, train and coach sales professionals, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

· Work closely with marketing to improve lead quality, campaign performance and return on investment.

· Improve the customer journey from initial enquiry through to contract and installation handover.

· Develop pricing, promotions and commercial opportunities while protecting margin and customer value.

· Provide accurate performance reporting and strategic recommendations to the board.

· Build strong relationships with key suppliers, partners, commercial clients and introducers.

· Ensure all sales activity is ethical, compliant and aligned with Marvel’s customer-first values.

About You

· Proven experience as a Sales Director, Head of Sales or senior sales leader.

· A strong track record of growing revenue, improving conversion and leading successful sales teams.

· Excellent leadership, coaching, communication and negotiation skills.

· Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance growth, margin and customer experience.

· Confidence using sales data, KPIs, forecasts and CRM systems to drive decisions.

· A practical, hands-on leadership style and the resilience to perform in a fast-moving environment.

· A full UK driving licence.

· Experience within renewables, heating, construction, home improvements or another regulated consumer-sales environment would be advantageous, although exceptional candidates from other sectors will be considered.

Reward & Benefits

· £60,000 basic salary.

· Performance-related bonus with expected on-target earnings of £80,000–£100,000+, uncapped subject to the agreed scheme.

· 28 days’ annual leave including bank holidays, increasing where applicable in line with company policy.
