As Mainprize Offshore continues to grow and expand across the offshore wind and marine sector, we are looking to strengthen our engineering team with motivated and professional Engineers to join our Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) operations. As the Engineer onboard a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV), you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all machinery onboard. You will play a key role in supporting the transfer of Technicians, Personnel, and Cargo to and from offshore Wind Turbines and SOVs, while contributing to the safety and wellbeing of everyone onboard through a strong and positive safety culture and professional communication with the Company, Client, and MCC.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+General maintenance, inspection, and repair of vessel machinery and ancillary equipment
+Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components of the vessel
+Assisting with the transfer of Technicians, Personnel, and Cargo to and from Turbines and SOVs
+Associated administrative duties, record keeping, and communication with the +Company and Client
+Compliance with the Company SMS, with strict adherence to all IMO Codes
+Application of the PMS, including the ability to identify and report non-conformities and defects
+Assisting the Deckhand with practical, hands-on support when required
+Compliance with all Flag, Port, and local regulations
Required Certification and Documentation:
+AEC 1 and 2 or higher qualification (larger tickets are encouraged and compensated)
+For non-UK issued CoC holders, an MCA FSE is required
+Proof of right to work in the UK
+Valid passport for travel within the UK and EU
-Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1)
-Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (A-VI/1-2)
-Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-3)
-Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (A-VI/1-4) – within 4 years
-Advanced Fire Fighting (A-VI/3)
+ENG1 Seafarer Medical Certificate (restrictions must not fall outside the remit of the role)
+Crowd Management (A-V/2, A-V/3)
+Slinger/Banksman
+Food Hygiene Level 2
+Valid Driving Licence
Seagoing Experience:
+Proven experience as an Engineer on commercially operated vessels, with preference given to CTV experience; however, candidates with small vessel backgrounds (Fishing, Tugs, Ro-Ro, etc.) will also be considered
+Familiarity with CAT engines (C32B), hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and ancillary equipment
+Ability to work autonomously and manage high-performance engines
+Experience managing passengers and cargo operations
+Experience working collaboratively with both Company and Client representatives
