Job Title: Auto Electrician

Location: Belton Doncaster Salary: £14.92 - £ 16.00 Hours: Full-time, 39 hours Mon – Thur.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Auto Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems in a wide range of vehicles. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals
Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, lighting, and electronic systems in vehicles
Fit and repair vehicle alarms, tracking systems, radios, and additional electrical accessories
Inspect and test electrical components to ensure proper functioning
Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings
Replace faulty parts such as alternators, starters, batteries, and sensors
Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
Provide technical support and advice to colleagues and customers
Keep the workshop clean, safe, and compliant with company procedures

Requirements

Proven experience as an Auto Electrician or similar role
Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and diagnostics
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documents
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Competent with diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment
Full UK driving licence preferred
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Auto Electrical or equivalent
Experience with modern vehicle electronics, CANbus systems, or EV/hybrid technology
Additional certifications in diagnostics or electrical safety
