Tipi Tent Build Crew. Summer Season. Hertford
Tipis4hire are a tipi-tent hire Company based in Hertford. We have been trading for 20 years. We have spring and summer bookings all over the South East and we now have work positions for summer season crew, working from Now to the middle of September.
The seasonal crew posts involve hard physical labour transporting and building / taking down tipi structures and fitting them out with furniture and other equipment. No previous tipi experience is required as we will provide training, but you will need the physical aptitude to work manually with heavy equipment.
We are looking for candidates who relish the opportunity to work in the outdoors in all weathers in a physically demanding environment to deliver high quality finishes. Long working days are normal as are early morning starts. And regular weekend and Bank Holiday work will be part of the working week.
This is interesting and rewarding work and we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to working hard in a team environment. Tipi builds are mostly undertaken by crews of 4-6 crew led by an experienced Build Manager.
You will need to communicate and take directions in English, be committed to safe working environments and be a self-starter and an ability to learn quickly.
Primary Duties Include:
- Setting up and dismantling our range of Tipis and other structures, in a safe and efficient manor.
- Packing stock and loading vehicles ready for the upcoming events.
- Stock maintenance, cleaning and repairs.
- Driving company vehicles to and from site.
- Other misc. duties as assigned.
Our tipi hires mean that we deliver with Company vehicles, so candidates with a current clean driving license are sought and will be at an advantage. You will also need to get yourself to and from our base near Wheathampstead for early morning starts.
We will provide a friendly and supportive working environment, with good rates of pay (enhanced for trailer drivers) and training opportunities.
This is not a typical 9 to 5 job. Please only apply if you can commit to early starts and long days and if you can work right through the season to mid-September 2025.

- Able to work weekends.
- Good at problem solving with a practical mentality.
