Lead a shop that changes lives

Every purchase in our charity shops helps Naomi and Jack's provide expert care and support to children, young adults and families across the South of England.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Shop Manager to lead our Basingstoke store. If you're passionate about retail, enjoy leading people and love delivering great customer experiences, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Whether you're already a Shop Manager or looking to progress from an Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager or Supervisor role, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

What you'll be doing

As Shop Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact by:

Leading the day-to-day operation of our busy charity shop
Inspiring, supporting and developing a team of staff and volunteers
Creating an attractive and welcoming shopping environment
Maximising sales and profit through excellent merchandising and stock management
Building relationships within the local community
Managing shop administration, financial controls and banking procedures
Ensuring high standards of customer service, health and safety, and compliance

You'll have the autonomy to make decisions, drive performance and help grow the shop's contribution to Naomi and Jack's vital work.

What we're looking for

An experienced retailer with supervisory or management experience
A confident leader who enjoys motivating and developing others
Passionate about delivering first-class customer service
Organised, proactive and commercially aware
Comfortable managing stock, sales and shop operations
A great communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic about supporting the work of Naomi and Jack's

Experience within charity retail would be preferable but not essential.

We are looking for someone to work full time, 5 days over 6 (35 hours per week). This role will include some Saturday working.

Hourly rate of pay: £14.05 per hour

You will need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment. About Naomi and Jack's

Naomi and Jack's is a hospice supporting medically complex children, young adults and their families across the central south of England.

Referrals for young adults outside of our catchment area are also considered.

Naomi and Jack's nursing and medical staff provide individualised care that helps to enhance short lives and supports families to make the most of their precious time with their children.

Jack's Place is the only hospice for young adults in the south of England. The medical and care teams offer specialist care, often over many years, and uphold the dignity and independence of young adults accessing the service.
