Full job description

Orchard Vale Trust is a Registered Charity founded over 35 years ago to support adults with learning difficulties; we currently provide Residential, Day and Community Services. If you are looking to use your skills to help others or to develop your skills within the Adult Learning Disability Care Sector; then we would like to hear from you.

At St. Chads, home to 4 individuals, we have a dedicated team of staff who actively support residents to live the lives they choose. This role involves encouraging and supporting people with daily tasks and activities at home and in the community.

As a Support Worker, you will be creating an enriched social, homely and therapeutic environment.

Previous care experience supporting people with learning disabilities would be an advantage, but not necessary as full guidance, support and a comprehensive induction programme will be provided. You will also be supported to obtain professional qualifications after six months of employment.

We ask that all applicants must:

Be willing to have an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, which will include a check against the Barred adult list and references.

We offer:

A generous annual leave entitlement of 7 weeks (pro-rata) including Bank Holiday
Overtime at 1.5 x your hourly rate

Access to training and support to achieve your Care Certificate

We offer a variety of shifts to allow maximum flexibility.
