Our Marketing team helps Imperial attract the very best students from around the world, supporting prospective students throughout their decision-making journey through engaging content, digital experiences and targeted recruitment activity.
Working closely with the Faculty Marketing and Recruitment Manager, academic departments and central Marketing, Outreach, Recruitment and Admissions (MORA) teams, you will plan, coordinate, create and optimise content that supports the recruitment of undergraduate and postgraduate students across the Faculty of Engineering.
You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing student-facing marketing channels, including course and subject pages, ensuring content remains accurate, engaging and aligned to prospective student needs. From creating student and alumni profiles to supporting the delivery of major content, campaign and digital projects, you will help showcase the Faculty's teaching, research, student experience and graduate outcomes to audiences around the world.
You will be responsible for managing multiple content and marketing projects simultaneously, working with a wide range of stakeholders across the Faculty and central teams. We are looking for someone who combines strong copywriting and content creation skills with excellent organisation, stakeholder management and attention to detail.
This role is co-located between the central Marketing team (into which the Faculty of Engineering Marketing team reports) within the Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions Division and the Faculty of Engineering.
The Faculty of Engineering at Imperial undertakes world-leading teaching and research across ten engineering disciplines, offering a unique opportunity to create impactful marketing that supports student recruitment and enhances the Faculty's reputation globally.
You will support the delivery of the Faculty of Engineering's student recruitment marketing plans and contribute to wider marketing activity across Imperial. Your duties include:
- Planning, creating and delivering high-quality content across a range of digital and print marketing channels.
- Maintaining, reviewing and optimising student-facing marketing channels, including course and subject pages, to improve the prospective student experience and support recruitment objectives.
- Supporting the delivery of departmental marketing plans and wider Faculty recruitment priorities.
- Monitoring and reporting on content and marketing performance, using insight and analytics to inform continuous improvement.
- Building effective working relationships with academic departments and acting as a key marketing contact for stakeholders across the Faculty.
- Coordinating content projects, including student and alumni profiles, photography, videography and campaign assets.
- Supporting major Faculty and institutional marketing initiatives, campaigns and content development projects.
- Experience working in a marketing, communications or content role within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent copywriting and content development skills, with the ability to produce high-quality content for a range of audiences and channels.
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience working within established brand guidelines and contributing to audience-focused marketing activity.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a complex organisation.
- Experience using content management systems and digital marketing platforms.
- An understanding of how content, digital channels and user experience can support student recruitment and engagement.
