Maintenance Electrician
Location: MOD Donnington
Salary: £32,000 – £34,500 per annum (DOE)
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our expanding maintenance team supporting MOD Donnington. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated engineer looking for long-term stability, a varied workload, and a professional working environment within secure facilities.

Job Overview

You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair, and minor installation of electrical building service systems across the site. Your day-to-day duties will include:

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and breakdown response
Carrying out electrical remedial works
Minor installation works and small electrical projects
Testing and inspection of electrical systems
Supporting upgrades and modifications to existing installations
Working collaboratively with the site team to ensure compliance and safe working practices

Systems You Will Work On

General lighting and emergency lighting systems
Power distribution and containment systems
Socket circuits and small power installations
Distribution boards and protective devices
Fire alarm interfaces (basic maintenance support)
Motors, pumps, and plant room electrical equipment
Associated building services electrical plant

Requirements & Qualifications

We are looking for a reliable and competent Electrician with experience in commercial or facilities environments. The ideal candidate will have:

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Experience in maintenance and fault-finding
Experience working within commercial or industrial buildings
Ability to read electrical drawings and technical manuals
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
High standards of Health & Safety awareness
Full UK Driving Licence

2391 Inspection & Testing is beneficial but not essential.
