Are you an experienced Speech & Language Therapist ready to step up, shape clinical practice, and build a senior career in a specialist setting where your expertise makes a real difference? Join The Mosaic Practice, where we place the well-being of both our clients and our team at the heart of what we do.
We are looking for an ambitious and clinically experienced Speech & Language Therapist with a strong background in paediatric complex needs who is ready to take the next step in their career and grow into a senior clinical role. We are a highly specialised assessment and treatment centre supporting children with complex and profound communication and neurological difficulties which include cerebral palsy, acquired and traumatic brain injury and ASD. Our supportive multidisciplinary team includes occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and neuro-physiotherapists. We are a purpose-driven, family-oriented practice that prioritises integrity and excellence above all else, and you will have the drive to develop and implement innovative solutions for your clients.
You will work dynamically with families and schools in a variety of specialist and mainstream settings, with the freedom to manage your own diary and work in a way that suits your lifestyle. In turn, we will actively invest in your progression. Our varied and complex client portfolio, access to a forward-thinking team, regular clinical supervision, and clear pathways to senior and leadership roles will give you every opportunity to advance your career and establish yourself as a specialist in this field. At The Mosaic Practice, you’ll enjoy a range of unique benefits that support a rewarding and balanced career:
- Small, Manageable Caseloads: We value quality over quantity, giving you the space to provide consistent, personalised care that leads to real progress and lasting change.
- Work/Life Balance: We offer genuine flexibility to fit your life. Whether you need part-time hours, term-time only working, self-employed status, or a bespoke arrangement, we work with you to build a schedule that suits you—without compromising the quality of care you deliver.
- Career Growth Opportunities: We offer clearly defined progression pathways, including senior clinician and clinical lead roles, CPD funding, mentoring, and even franchise ownership opportunities for those with the ambition to lead their own practice.
- Innovation in Therapy: We stay at the forefront of therapy techniques, and you’ll have the chance to trial new approaches and learn alongside a forward-thinking team.
- Collaborative, Family-Centred Approach: We hold families at the heart of our work, collaborating closely with them to provide the support that feels most meaningful and effective.
Your remit will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments and implementing individualised therapy plans that reflect each child’s unique strengths and challenges including expressive and receptive language difficulties, speech clarity and articulation, dysphagia and executive functioning
- Providing bespoke demonstration/training to family, carers and educational colleagues
- Working collaboratively with an established MDT to deliver joint-working solutions
You must:
- Possess the drive to achieve the utmost for every client under often challenging circumstances
- Have a warm, child-centred approach to therapy
- Be prepared to take an active role in goal planning, contribute to service development, and help mentor junior colleagues as your seniority grows
- Be confident to express clinical opinion and advocate for clients in MDT/EHCP meetings
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Have the ability to write clear and concise reports for EHCPs, tribunals and appeals
- Be able to work independently and manage your time effectively
