Grant Palmer is an expanding and successful privately owned bus company running an intensive network of bus services across Bedfordshire. We've got exciting plans for expansion, and are working hard to be Bedfordshire's best bus company.
We're getting busier, and better at what we do, so are looking for a bus scheduler to join our commercial and planning team.
You’ll make a major contribution to ensuring the successful delivery of our bus services, providing a reliable and dependable public service for Bedfordshire residents and visitors.

Reporting to the board, you will:
- Produce efficient time, duty and rota schedules that deliver reliable bus services, whilst also considering the health and wellbeing of our drivers.
- Ensure that the statutory and Company rules are understood and adhered to.
- Ensure that all documentation, statistics and records are produced and maintained accurately.
- Upload duty and rota information into both external and internal computer systems.
- Provide support for senior management as needed.
- Prepare estimates for service changes and bids.

Candidates must have the aptitude for detail, be highly numerate, and ideally have worked in the bus industry and able to demonstrate bus scheduling experience. Experience of our scheduling system Omnibus would be really helpful, but if you have experience of other bus scheduling software we can train you.
It's an ideal role for somebody early in their career within the bus industry. You certainly need to be able to hit the ground running, but we will support you and work with you on your development as your career progresses.
