The Bedford Swan Hotel, located right on the Great Ouse river, is one of Bedford's landmark hotels, a busy 137-bedroom hotel with a thermal spa, high-end brasserie, afternoon tea room, and thriving conference and banqueting department.

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Housekeeping Team Member to join our team. This is a vital role within the hotel, ensuring our guest bedrooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces are maintained to the highest standards. Our housekeeping team plays an essential part in creating a welcoming environment and delivering the exceptional guest experience that our hotel is known for.
What you will be doing
As a Housekeeping Team Member, you will be responsible for cleaning and servicing guest bedrooms, ensuring they are presented to the highest standard for arriving and staying guests. You will replenish amenities and supplies, maintain the cleanliness and appearance of public areas, and report any maintenance issues or lost property in a timely manner. Working closely with reception and other departments, you will help ensure rooms are available and ready for guests throughout the day while always following company procedures and health and safety standards.
What you will bring to the team
You will have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail. Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience would be beneficial, although full training will be provided for the right candidate. You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and take pride in maintaining high standards throughout your work. Flexibility is important, as the role will involve working weekends, bank holidays and a variety of shift patterns to meet the needs of the business.
