Studio Manager (Part-time)

Architectural Practice – Hitchin, Hertfordshire

We are a friendly architectural practice of eight architects and architectural assistants, currently seeking a reliable and highly organised Studio Manager to support the day-to-day running of the studio on a part-time basis with flexibility and potential for additional hours as the role develops.

The role would suit someone proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently within a creative professional environment.

Key responsibilities may include:

General office administration and studio coordination;
Managing office supplies, systems, and general organisation;
Diary management and coordination of meetings, calendars, and occasional events;
Supporting HR and general practice administration tasks;
Preparing and issuing fee proposals and schedules of work;
Invoicing, expenses, and basic bookkeeping support;
Liaising with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers;
Assisting with communications and PR;
Supporting award submissions and general marketing material;
Helping maintain and improve internal studio systems and workflows.

The ideal candidate will have:

Strong organisational and communication skills;
Confident managing tasks autonomously in a creative studio environment;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google Workspace;
A professional, approachable manner;
Experience within architecture, design, or construction is beneficial but not essential.
