Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our growing team within the carpet, flooring and blinds industry. This is a varied role that combines warehouse duties with assisting our installation teams and carrying out local deliveries and collections.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our business. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop practical skills within the flooring and blinds trade.

Key Responsibilities

Receive incoming goods including carpets, flooring, blinds and accessories.
Organise and store products safely within the warehouse.
Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
Carry out local deliveries and collections using company vehicles.
Assist carpet and flooring fitters on-site with preparation work, moving furniture, lifting materials and general labouring duties (full training provided).
Assist with warehouse stock management and inventory checks.
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and balers (training provided).
Work closely with the warehouse, sales and fitting teams to achieve daily operational goals.
Follow all health and safety procedures.

Requirements

Previous warehouse, labouring or flooring industry experience is beneficial but not essential.
Full UK driving licence required. - Minimum 5 year clean license.
Ability to undertake manual handling and physical work throughout the day.
Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
