The Role
As a Junior Interior Designer, you'll support our design team across every stage of a project. You'll help develop creative concepts, prepare presentation material, produce drawings and layouts, and assist in bringing projects from initial ideas through to completion.
This role offers plenty of variety, support and opportunities to develop. You'll learn from experienced colleagues while gradually taking on more responsibility as your confidence and experience grow.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the design team in developing creative workplace concepts.
- Preparing space plans, layouts and presentation material.
- Assisting with mood boards, finishes and furniture selections.
- Producing drawings and design documentation.
- Helping prepare client presentations and design proposals.
- Attending site visits and surveys when required.
- Supporting project coordination throughout the design process.
- Researching products, materials and workplace trends.
- Working closely with colleagues, suppliers and manufacturers.
- Maintaining organised project information and documentation.
About You
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative and keen to build a career in commercial interior design.
You'll ideally have:
- A degree or qualification in Interior Design or a related subject.
- Up to two years' experience in an interior design, architectural or design environment (including placements or internships).
- Experience using industry-standard design and presentation software.
- Good visual communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and develop.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively.
- A positive attitude and enjoy working as part of a team.
It Would Be Great If You Also Had
- An interest in workplace design and commercial interiors.
- Experience creating 3D visuals or design presentations.
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes and materials.
- Confidence communicating with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
