Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hard Surface Repair Technician to join our specialised team. This role involves restoring and maintaining a variety of hard surfaces, including flooring, countertops, and other structural elements, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and durability. The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where craftsmanship and customer satisfaction are paramount.

Responsibilities

Assessing damaged or worn hard surfaces to determine appropriate repair methods
Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or applying primers as necessary
Repairing cracks, chips, scratches, and other surface imperfections using specialised materials and techniques
Colour-matching and blending repairs seamlessly with existing surfaces for a uniform finish
Applying protective coatings or sealants to extend the lifespan of repaired surfaces
Operating various tools and equipment safely and efficiently during repair processes
Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used
Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards

Requirements

Proven experience in hard surface repair or related trades such as tiling, flooring, or restoration is desirable
Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finishing quality
Ability to read technical drawings or instructions accurately
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Physical fitness to handle lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces for extended periods
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to repairs
A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between sites
Relevant certifications or training in surface repair techniques will be advantageous
