As a Senior Consultant - Manager in Sustainable Products and Resilient Supply Chains, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients navigate the complexities of digital transformation, with a particular focus on sustainability and supply chain optimisation. You will work closely with clients across a range of industries, supporting them to leverage their investments in supply chain and PLM solutions and related technologies to deliver innovative, sustainable business solutions.
Deloitte practitioners in this space are highly collaborative and client-facing, covering the full delivery lifecycle. As a Senior Consultant - Manager in Sustainable Products and Resilient Supply Chains, your responsibilities are to:
-
Shaping client data strategy for sustainable product and resilient supply chain outcomes—define the target-state data vision, key use cases, value hypotheses, and a pragmatic roadmap that translates broader client strategy into executable data and platform initiatives.

Developing end-to-end data architecture design across product, supply chain, and third-party ecosystems—develop conceptual/logical/physical data architectures, domain models, and integration patterns spanning ERP/PLM/SCM, supplier data, and sustainability/traceability datasets.
-
Designing data products and AI-ready foundations—specify data product boundaries, data contracts, metadata/lineage, quality rules, and SLAs to ensure datasets are reliable for analytics, reporting, and advanced AI (including GenAI) applications.

Architecting AI/analytics solutions with strong governance—shape solution architectures that enable forecasting, risk sensing, scenario modelling, optimization, and sustainability impact analytics; ensure approaches are scalable, secure, and aligned to ethical tech practices.

Developing and guiding agentic AI approaches (desirable)—help clients explore and implement agentic patterns (e.g., orchestration, tool use, human-in-the-loop controls) for resilient planning, supplier risk monitoring, and sustainable product decisioning, with appropriate guardrails and monitoring.

Establishing strong data governance, security, and privacy-by-design—define governance frameworks (roles, stewardship, decision rights), data quality management, and controls for confidentiality, security, privacy and compliance, escalating risks and ensuring delivery integrity.

Delivering engagement excellence and accountable outcomes—manage workstreams or small engagements end to end: scope, plan, resources, dependencies, RAID, and stakeholder expectations; drive high-quality deliverables and measurable value aligned to engagement economics.

Translating complex analysis into executive-ready narratives—lead workshops and facilitation to align diverse stakeholders, convert analytics into business-relevant insight, and communicate “why this matters” through compelling storytelling and clear visuals.

Contributing to the development high-performing teams—mentor junior colleagues in data modelling, architecture trade-offs, and delivery methods; provide timely feedback, create stretch opportunities, and foster an inclusive, collaborative team environment.

Candidates will typically demonstrate the following:

Data architecture and data strategy background, with hands-on experience designing target-state data architectures, data models, and integration patterns to support complex business domains such as supply chain, product, manufacturing, or sustainability.

Strong experience designing data platforms for analytics and AI, including cloud-based data lakes/lakehouses, analytical data stores, feature-ready datasets, and scalable architectures supporting advanced analytics and GenAI use cases.
-
Proven expertise in data modelling and information architecture, including canonical models, domain-driven design concepts, master/reference data, metadata, lineage, and data quality frameworks.
-
Experience working with industry-leading supply chain and PLM platforms commonly deployed in the UK market, such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP, Oracle SCM Cloud, Anaplan, Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault, PTC, or equivalent ecosystems, with a strong understanding of how these systems generate and consume data.

Integration and data engineering literacy, including APIs, event-driven architectures, ETL/ELT approaches, and patterns for connecting enterprise platforms, supplier systems, and external data sources.

Clear understanding of data governance, security, and privacy requirements, including data ownership models, stewardship, access controls, and compliance considerations relevant to UK and European regulatory contexts.

Ability to translate business and functional requirements into technical data designs, working effectively with supply chain, product, procurement, sustainability, and technology stakeholders.

Experience supporting AI-enabled decision making, such as forecasting, optimisation, risk sensing, or scenario analysis, with an appreciation of model dependencies on data quality, timeliness, and architecture design.

Consulting or client-facing delivery experience, contributing to structured problem-solving, producing high-quality architectural artefacts, and operating within defined delivery, quality, and risk frameworks.

Professional working proficiency in the English language.

Ability to travel internationally and stay away from home for up to 5 days each week for specific durations, based on programme needs.
The following may be advantageous:

Familiarity with agentic AI patterns, including orchestration, tool-using agents, human-in-the-loop controls, and monitoring concepts applied to planning, risk, or operational decision-making.

Experience working across sustainability-focused use cases and technologies, such as product foot printing, traceability, supplier risk and resilience, scenario modelling, or regulatory reporting, even if not as a primary specialism.

Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain complex data and AI concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and senior client audiences.

A pragmatic, value-led mindset, able to balance architectural ambition with delivery realism, commercial constraints, and client maturity.
