Full job description

The hub coffee bar is looking for a Shop Assistant to join our team in Belfast.

We are a family-owned business that prides itself on providing the highest quality of service to our customers. We are looking for a team member who is dedicated to providing the highest quality of food and hospitality to our customers, and is willing to learn the skills needed to do so.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet customers as they enter and provide assistance throughout their visit.
Answer questions about menu items, delivery, or other items on the menu.
Take orders via computer or hand-written paper order slips.
Deliver meals using a company vehicle or personal vehicle as needed.
Assist in keeping the shop, parking lot, and front desk clean and orderly at all times.
Assist with restocking inventory when necessary.
Assist with maintaining cleanliness of the premises, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning windows, tables, counters, and equipment as needed.
Perform opening and closing tasks as scheduled for both front and back end operations.
Practice good housekeeping skills at all times within the premises and outside of work-area to help maintain a clean and sanitary environment for others and ourselves.

We are looking for a team member who is organized, punctual, has good customer service skills, is dependable, and is able to follow instructions. The right candidate will be able to keep organized in a fast paced environment, be able to work independently with little supervision when needed, have good communication skills when interacting with co-workers as well as customers, and will be able to follow all safety rules and procedures.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£12.90 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Belfast BT17 9RY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Catering: 1 year (preferred)
Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
Bartending: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
