Job Summary
We are seeking a CCTV Engineer to join our team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems across various sites. The ideal candidate will not necessarily require previous experience, but will have a technical mindset, willingness to learn, good problem solving skills, and strong communication skills.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring mechanical knowledge, computer networking expertise, and proficiency with hand tools and power tools. The successful applicant will contribute to the development of secure surveillance solutions, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, including IP-based and analogue solutions.
- Analyse schematics, system design documents, and technical drawings to plan installation layouts.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of CCTV hardware, including cameras, switches, and recording devices.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for equipment mounting and cabling tasks.
- Diagnose system faults and resolve issues efficiently.
- Assist in upgrading existing systems by integrating new hardware or software components.
- Help to maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities for future reference.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations whilst maintaining high standards of quality.
- Working away where required.
Experience/Requirements
- Some experience in CCTV system installation, maintenance, or repair within a construction or telecommunication environment preferred but not required.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading preferred but not required.
- Employment will be subject to successful BS7858 security screening and Enhanced Disclosure Check (DBS).
- Full Driving License (subject to inspection for company insurances).

Pay: £24,420.00-£43,956.05 per year
