Summary
We are seeking a Junior Detailer to join our team in the United Kingdom. Based in Kings Hill, this role is vital in supporting the design and detailing process of our innovative mezzanine flooring solutions. You will contribute to projects that help our clients improve their operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Supporting the technical team in producing drawings and documentation for fabrication and installation. This role is designed for a school leaver with A‑levels who is keen to develop technical, engineering, and construction skills through structured training and on‑the‑job learning.
- Learn to read and interpret general arrangement drawings, specifications, and basic structural details with guidance from senior team members.
- Assist in producing fabrication drawings, call‑offs, and mark‑up drawings using AutoCAD and Tekla.
- Carry out drawing amendments and updates under supervision to reflect approved changes.
- Support the detailing team with document control, drawing issue registers, and project administration tasks.
- Develop an understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures, quality standards, and relevant legislation.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and escalate queries or errors promptly.
- Assist with investigations into site or fabrication queries where required.
- Follow company Health, Safety & Environment (H.S.E.) policies at all times.
- Commit to ongoing training and development, including formal qualifications where applicable.

Education & Qualifications
Essential
- A‑levels (or equivalent), including:
- Mathematics (required)
- One other STEM subject (e.g. Physics, Engineering, Design & Technology, or IT)
Desirable
- Further Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering‑related coursework
- Interest or project work related to construction, design, or engineering
Skills & Abilities
Essential
- Must reside within 10 miles of West Malling
- Strong numerical and problem‑solving skills
- Office-based role
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic IT skills, including confidence using computers and software
- Willingness to learn technical drawing and specialist software (AutoCAD/Tekla)
Desirable
- Basic familiarity with technical drawings or CAD software (school or personal projects)
- Understanding of construction or engineering principles
