Job Description:
Wye Valley Surgery is an established GP practice, based in High Wycombe serving 12,000 patients; our whole teams aim to improve the health of our patients, alongside enhancing their experience of patient care with a great family team ethos.
We are educationally focused and offer ongoing training and development whilst providing a supportive, working environment.
The Role:
Due to our Salaried GP moving out of area we are looking for a GP to join our dedicated and friendly team at the surgery for 4 sessions. You will be working within a team of 45 which includes 4 partners and 5 Salaried GPs
The candidate must be able to work these sessions on Monday & Tuesday.
The successful candidate will be working as a Salaried GP, supporting the development of services we provide, and be part of our experienced clinical team providing and maintaining high-quality patient cantered care for our patients, from diagnosis to long term management.
About You:
You will be a qualified GP, and enjoy being part of a great, dynamic team offering best patient care. If you have a passion for Diabetic care this is advantageous.
We are looking for a Salaried GP who wants to proactively be apart of the team, be passionate about developing their clinical skills and helping the practice develop their footprint within the integrated neighbourhood team setting, by attending PLT and steering events where appropriate.
What you should know about us:
- We work on 15-minute appointments
- Each session is a 12 Patient facing appointments and three admin slots for sick notes or prescription queries.
- We have a welfare package for all staff which includes employee of the month, vouchers on your birthday, free breakfast onsite for all staff.
- We expect salaried GPs who work more than 4 sessions to cover 2 duty sessions (these would not be on the same day)
- For chronic disease reviews such as COPD or Dementia reviews we give GPs 30 minutes
- We are a total triage platform who has recently invested in Anima. When you are a duty doctor you will work alongside a minor illness nurse, a junior paramedic and a senior care co-ordinator.
- Salaried GPs are expected to do their own home visits
- Salaried GPs are expected, once settled in to take responsibility for at least one audit in an area of their interest and lead in a certain department for example safeguarding, diabetes, respiratory.
