Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our team The role is for 2, 3, or 4 nights (11hr nightshifts 8pm - 7am) per week plus cover for sickness and annual leave. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others, contributing positively to the lives of those in your care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
Support clients in following their care plans and maintaining their personal hygiene.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in care practices.
Foster a warm and supportive environment that promotes dignity and respect for all clients.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is advantageous.
A valid driving licence is preferred as we are remote and public transport is not great.
Ability to communicate fluently in English is essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is important for delivering personalised care.
