We are currently looking for a full time, reliable and motivated Class C1 or Class C HGV Driver to join our busy Solid Fuel Department.
The Role
As a Solid Fuel Delivery Driver, you will spend two days each week delivering 40kg bags of solid fuel to domestic customers using either a 7.5-tonne or 12-tonne HGV.
For the remainder of the week, you will deliver pre-packed fuel and associated products to our wholesale customers, including fuel filling stations, garden centres, DIY stores, and farm shops. You will also use our Isuzu Grafter crane truck to deliver bulk bags (dumpies) of firewood to domestic customers.
The role involves both handballing and pallet truck off-loading, so a good level of physical fitness is essential. You will be responsible for ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time while providing excellent customer service.
You will play an important role in ensuring our customers receive their deliveries accurately, safely, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver solid fuel to domestic and commercial customers using a 7.5-tonne or 12-tonne HGV.
- Check that the correct quantities of goods are loaded before leaving.
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Follow all road safety, health and safety, and company procedures.
- Complete any required delivery paperwork accurately.
