Chocolate Production Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Barton-upon-Humber
Hours: Approximately 3 days per week (days to be agreed)
Permanent | Full training provided

Come and make chocolate with us.
-
We're Chris and Laura, and we run The Undairy Co. We're a small, family-run business making the creamiest plant-based chocolate.
At The Undairy Co, we make our from scratch; Refining > Conching > Tempering > Moulding > Wrapping. And we're looking for someone to join us and become part of that process.
No chocolate-making experience? That's absolutely fine. We'll teach you everything you need to know. What matters most is your attitude, attention to detail and willingness to work hard.
-
What you'll be doing
No two days are exactly the same, but you'll spend your time:
- Learning how to make chocolate.
- Assisting with production.
- Operating and cleaning production equipment.
- Wrapping and packing chocolate bars.
- Keeping our production areas clean, organised and food-safe.
- Pitching in wherever needed as part of a small team.
-
Now, let's be honest...
This isn't a job where you spend all day just sampling chocolate. We'll also need you to muck in lifting sacks of ingredients, cleaning machinery, wrapping bars, moving boxes, weighing ingredients and helping with whatever needs doing that day.
We have trolleys and lifting equipment where appropriate, but you should be comfortable with a physically active role.
-
You'll probably love this job if...
- You enjoy practical, hands-on work.
- You like learning new skills.
- You notice the little details that others miss.
- You take pride in doing things properly.
- You're naturally organised and reliable.
- Keeping things clean and tidy is second nature.
- You enjoy working as part of a small, hardworking team.
- You like finishing the day knowing you've actually made something.
This job probably isn't for you if...
- You're looking for an easy 9-5.
- You don't enjoy physical work.
- You dislike repetitive tasks.
- You think cleaning is someone else's job.
- You struggle to follow detailed processes consistently.
-
Attention to detail matters.
We make award-winning allergen-friendly chocolate, and many of our customers rely on us because of food allergies. That means quality, cleanliness and following procedures aren't optional -> they're essential. If you're naturally thorough and take pride in doing things properly, you'll fit right in.
-
What you'll get
- Full training in chocolate making -> You'll learn skills that most chocolate makers never get to learn.
- A permanent part-time role with potential to go full-time.
- A friendly, family-run working environment.
- A genuinely varied role where no two weeks are quite the same.
- A voice. Your ideas will be listened to.
- As we grow, there'll be opportunities to grow with us too.
So if you're hardworking, practical, enjoy learning and think you'd enjoy helping us build an awesome dairy free chocolate company, we'd love to hear from you.
