Third Party Claims – Credit Hire Advisor

Working Hours/ Shift Patterns: You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00.
Training: Our fantastic Bexhill office, which is next to the seafront, and only a short walk from Collington station.
Our approach to Hybrid Working: With hybrid working, you have more flexibility, as you usually only have to visit our office once a week and work remotely for the rest of the time. You can always opt to work from the office more frequently if that suits you better. When we organise training and events you may be required to attend in person for the duration.
Salary: The starting salary is £28,800 plus benefits
Location: The core training lasts for the first 8 weeks of your role and is completed virtually.

Your role:
As a Credit Hire Claims Handler, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of credit hire claims. You'll take full ownership of the claim from first notification of the hire claim until it has been settled, whilst delivering the best financial outcome in line with our business strategy.
You'll need to accurately identify the correct liability status, indemnity position and manage and control hire spends through negotiation, investigation and provision of services.
What will you be doing?

Managing a workload of hire/repair claims from notification through to settlement, including the provision of services and challenging the need for a vehicle where required

Proactively managing the customer claims journey to protect their interests

Making correct and timely liability and indemnity decisions

Minimising the financial exposure to incoming credit hire and repair claims through investigation and negotiation skills

Protecting the company against credit hire claims by gathering evidence, utilising case law and other resources to achieve the best possible outcome in line with business strategy

Servicing inbound calls from third parties, customers, garages, representative and other suppliers

Meeting monthly targets and responsible for ensuring hire spend across the claims department is reduced

Ownership of any complaints with a focus on providing a resolution on day one
