Paralegal

The Dental Law Partnership are a nationwide dental claim specialists, representing patients in the majority of the dental negligence claims brought in England and Wales today. As a Legal 500 recommended firm, we are market leaders in our field with over 25 years’ experience.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well established disclosure team as a paralegal, with advancement to a training programme to qualification as a solicitor following successful completion of a 12 month probationary period in the paralegal role.

As a paralegal, after an initial training period you will be responsible for obtaining copies of records and preparing files for expert assessment.

We are seeking to recruit an individual who possesses excellent communication skills, is organised, and wants to work as part of a team whilst developing their career.

If you successfully complete the probationary period in the disclosure team, you will acquire conduct of a full caseload of legal files to conclusion, with close supervision and support from senior solicitors and directors.

The ideal candidate will have:

A genuine interest in clinical negligence/civil litigation with the desire to learn and develop your skills and expertise.
Client focus; the ability to build and sustain relationships.
A good eye for detail and overall high work standards.
Good time management skills and the ability to organise.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Relevant work experience in a legal environment or a law degree would be desirable.

35 hour working week
31 days holiday a year including bank holidays and Christmas closure, with the option to buy an additional 5 days holiday per year. We also provide a long service award meaning your holiday entitlement including bank holidays and Christmas closure would increase incrementally each year to 36 days after 5 full years service, and to 41 days a year after 10 full years.
