Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Production Operative / Cable Harness Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling and testing cable harnesses and electronic components, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and assembly experience including crimping and soldering, contributing to the efficient assembly of complex wiring systems utilised in various electronic devices. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Assembling cable harnesses using hand tools and power tools with precision and care
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Testing completed harnesses to ensure electrical continuity and functionality
Maintaining a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety standards
Assisting with troubleshooting electrical issues during assembly or testing phases
Adhering to production schedules while maintaining quality standards

Qualifications

Previous experience with electrical assembly or cable harness production is preferred
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical equipment
Experience working with assembly processes in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with small components and detailed tasks
Good organisational skills with a focus on quality assurance and safety compliance
