We're looking for a part-time Receptionist (two days per week) to be the face of Croft & Co, providing a professional first point of contact for clients, visitors and colleagues while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
This is a varied role combining front-of-house responsibilities, client service, office coordination and administrative support. You'll be a key part of the team, helping to create a welcoming environment, ensuring appointments run smoothly, managing enquiries professionally and supporting colleagues to deliver an exceptional experience for every client.
What you'll be doing
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients, visitors and callers, providing a professional, welcoming and positive experience.
- Managing incoming telephone calls, taking accurate messages and directing enquiries to the appropriate team member.
- Managing shared email inboxes and responding to routine enquiries where appropriate.
- Preparing meeting rooms ahead of client appointments and supporting the smooth running of meetings.
- Providing refreshments to clients and visitors and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Maintaining a tidy, professional reception area, client waiting room, meeting rooms and communal office areas.
- Scheduling client meetings and supporting diary coordination where required.
- Maintaining kitchen, refreshment and client hospitality areas to ensure a welcoming environment for clients and colleagues.
- Providing administrative support to advisers and the wider team.
- Maintaining accurate client and office records, including data entry, filing and document management.
- Preparing correspondence, documentation and client communications.
- Processing incoming and outgoing post, scanning and distributing documentation as required.
- Supporting the maintenance of electronic and paper-based filing systems and ensuring records are stored securely.
- Ordering office supplies, stationery and consumables and assisting with general office coordination.
- Liaising with suppliers and service providers when required.
- Supporting colleagues with ad hoc administrative tasks and contributing to a positive team environment.
Who we’re looking for
This role would suit someone who:
- Has experience as a receptionist or in a professional office administration or client-facing support role.
- Is professional, friendly and approachable, with a genuine passion for delivering excellent client service.
- Is confident communicating with clients, visitors, providers and colleagues.
- Has an excellent telephone manner and strong written communication skills.
- Is highly organised, reliable and detail-focused.
- Enjoys managing a variety of tasks and changing priorities.
- Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Is proactive and comfortable using their initiative to solve problems and identify tasks that need completing.
- Works calmly and professionally under pressure.
- Enjoys working as part of a small, close-knit team and is willing to support colleagues when needed.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
- Takes pride in creating a professional, welcoming and well-organised office environment.
- Brings a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Pay: £25,000.00 per year
