Our Residential Children’s home supports Children and Young People aged 5-18 years with Challenging and Emotional Behavioural difficulties of mixed gender.

Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity at PSS Care Group for someone to join us in the position of a Therapeutic Care and Support Mentor.
Job Type:
- 3 Days per week full time
- 07:45am - 22:30pm
Desirable:
- Completed, or working towards the Diploma Level 3 in Residential Child Care or equivalent
Essential:
- Driving Licence
- Able to work flexible hours, inclusive of weekends and one sleep in per week
- Applicants aged 21 and above
- UK Right to Work (We are unable to offer sponsorship)
The ideal candidate would be someone who is positive, energetic, and self-motivated with outstanding leadership skills, career driven, has a child-centred approach and who has a desire to make a difference in helping young people develop their independent skills to support their life’s ambitions.

Supporting the Young People:
Your role as a Care and Support Mentor will involve supporting the young people with education, home contact, health appointments and encouraging and promoting them to complete independency tasks, key work sessions and general day to day tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry. As part of your role, you will attend activities after education, over the weekends and through the school holidays with the young people such as bowling, the cinema, theme parks and shopping.
